So here’s the starting area. You see some mountains (from the Mountain Terrain asset back), it’s actually only one mountain I copy and pasted multiple times and distorted to block your vision.

These trees don’t come from the standard pack, they come from the mountain pack. Those rocks come from a rock asset pack. They make the entrance to the dungeon system. The grass comes from the Stylized Grass Texture asset pack.

The torch comes from the Hand Torch asset pack. I made it emit light because it was quite dark in the tunnel. The cave tunnel textures come from the Dungeon Stone Textures Pack. I wish I could have put stair cases here but I couldn’t make them and I couldn’t find a good asset pack that had stairs.

So the gameplay is all about answering trivia questions. You answer the question by walking through the white doorway. The entire wall and the block don’t have collisions enabled, I wish it was easier to just have the doorway without collisions. If you guess it wrong:

You enter the right room then it asks you another question and you have to answer it right. There are 3 questions in total, when you get the last question right:

It displays You Win! with some fireworks.
Here’s the video of my sister playing the game. It was really interesting for a variety of reasons:
It was really interesting seeing how little she knew about games. It took her awhile to figure out that you can move with the arrow keys.
She seemed to enjoy it because getting them right made her feel smart, but she’s not that smart so maybe I should have made the game harder.
It was difficult making the walls quickly and nicely. They don’t snap into place at all, I’m sure there’s a lot of tricks to make things like tunnels and it’s not as simple as making the walls, putting a texture on them, and smashing them together.
I wish I could make it so you could die and respawn. So if you got the wrong answer you die when you walk through the door. Maybe then I could add more wrong answers to add more challenge.
